She graduated magna cum laude from Colby College in Maine, where she double-majored in French literature and biology and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, then completed her combined plastic surgery residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center.

After residency, Shore moved to Chicago for the Zaccone Family Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society, and the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons.
